The journey of life can be challenging at times and may leave us feeling unable to manage on our own. Choosing to seek help by engaging in therapy is a powerful step to take while you may feel powerless. As a therapist, my goal is to empower my clients to learn and utilize new coping skills to navigate challenges on their journey. I value the opportunity to build rapport with clients while providing a safe space, and encouraging clients to come as they are.
I am a licensed social worker and have experience working with clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and challenges with emotional regulation. My experience has consisted of working with adults, and adolescents. I am open to working with individuals of any age at this time.
I have worked in various levels of care, including outpatient, and inpatient treatment centers. My therapeutic approach is client-centered to accommodate the unique needs of individuals. My clinical work has primarily drawn from approaches aligning with cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing.
I am also a full-time clinician with high school-aged students and an active volunteer for elementary school-aged girls facing challenges with self-esteem.
I earned my master's degree in Social Work at Rutgers Graduate School and my bachelor's degree in Psychology at Montclair State University. Additional studies of mine included a certificate program in Addiction Studies.
Therapy is an opportunity for growth, and transformation as we learn how to ride the waves of life.
Choosing to explore the possibility of therapy presents you with opportunities for positive changes and growth. With the support of therapy, you are not alone on your journey to wellness. I hope to have the opportunity to learn about your therapeutic goals. It would be an honor to work with you as you pursue your goals to be a healthier and happier you!
